The list below is the work China Shipping will discuss on a live file. It is not a claim that every commodity, every airport, or every Amazon building is available on every date. Space, equipment, and local rules decide that. Use the descriptions to see what information is needed, then send the places and the weight. If you only want the overview of how a file is coordinated, go back to the freight forwarding overview.
A quote prepared from these services is a proposal, not a booking. Nothing moves until the offer is confirmed in writing and the documents match the cargo. Read the privacy policy before you include contact details, and do not attach identity documents. When you are ready, request a freight quote with the mode you have in mind, or leave the mode open.
Ocean freight (FCL and LCL)
We book a full container for one shipper, or shared space when a full box is more than the cargo needs.
Ocean freight is the default for commercial cargo that can accept a voyage measured in weeks. A full-container load uses a 20-foot, 40-foot, or 40-foot high-cube box sealed for one shipper, loaded at the factory or at a warehouse. A less-than-container load is consolidated with other compatible cargo. Consolidation adds handling at origin and again before delivery, which is the trade for not paying for unused space.
The booking can be port to port, or it can include the truck on either side. The useful facts are the port or city of loading, the place of delivery, the weight, the volume, and whether the shipper or the forwarder loads the container. Cutoffs at the terminal are part of the plan. The sailing named in a quote is the sailing that was available when the quote was written.
- 20-foot, 40-foot, and 40-foot high-cube containers
- Shared containers when one shipper does not fill a box
- Port to port, or connected to pickup and delivery

Our team arranges airport-to-airport or airport-to-door carriage when the calendar is counted in days.
Air freight is for samples, launches, replacements, and other cargo that cannot wait for a vessel. It can be a consolidation on a scheduled flight or a direct booking when the weight justifies it. The chargeable weight is the greater of the gross weight and the volume weight, so dimensions matter as much as the scale. A quote made from guessed dimensions is not a quote the airline will honor.
Pickup in China and delivery after arrival can be added when the lane allows. Screening, batteries, liquids, and magnetic material can limit the flights that will accept the cargo. Say so at the start. Transit language on this page is descriptive only. The flight, the connection, and the recovery at destination decide the actual days.
- Consolidations and direct bookings from major Chinese airports
- Chargeable weight based on gross weight or volume
- A truck can be added on either side of the flight

Block trains and groupage link inland China with European terminals when that lane fits the cargo.
China–Europe rail sits between the cost of ocean freight and the speed of air for many general-cargo shipments. Containers are loaded at an inland hub and handed across at a European terminal. Typical hubs discussed on files include Chongqing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Yiwu. Typical handover terminals include Duisburg, Hamburg, and Małaszewicze. The right hub is the one that can actually accept the cargo and the cutoff, not the one that looks closest on a map.
Groupage is available when the cargo does not fill a container, subject to the same packing and commodity limits as any shared box. Documents still have to match. A railway plan can change, and the quote should say which departure it refers to. Door delivery inside Europe is a separate leg and is only offered where a truck can be arranged after the terminal handover.
- Inland hubs such as Chongqing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Yiwu
- Handover at terminals such as Duisburg, Hamburg, and Małaszewicze
- Groupage when the cargo does not fill a container

Courier networks carry small parcels and documents, with door pickup in many Chinese cities.
Express is the right tool for cartons and documents that are faster, and often simpler, as courier than as air freight. Pickup can be arranged in many Chinese cities. The courier’s size and weight limits apply, and pieces outside those limits belong on an air or ocean file instead. Tracking is the courier’s own tracking number.
Duties, taxes, and remote-area fees can still be charged at delivery. The incoterm, if you have one, decides who is expected to pay them. Do not assume a courier booking includes customs clearance in every country. If the goods need a commercial entry with a broker you already use, say that before the label is printed.
- Door pickup for parcels and documents
- Best when the pieces fit courier limits
- Duties and remote-area fees can still apply

Export documents are prepared in China, and our team then coordinates with the import broker overseas.
Customs work on a China Shipping file is document coordination, not a guess at the classification. Before an export declaration is filed, the commercial invoice, the packing list, and the draft bill of lading are checked against each other. Weights, marks, and descriptions should already agree with the cartons. The shipper confirms the HS code. The forwarder does not invent one to keep a cutoff.
At destination, the usual pattern is coordination with the broker who will file the import entry. That broker may be one you appoint. Licenses, certificates, and product rules stay with the importer who is responsible for them. If a document is missing, the cargo waits. Clearing a border is not a side effect of printing a bill of lading.
- Invoice, packing list, and bill of lading checked before filing
- HS codes confirmed by the shipper
- Import filing coordinated with the destination broker

Short-term receiving, checking, labeling, and consolidation in China come before the cargo is exported.
A warehouse is useful when cargo arrives from more than one factory, or when it must wait for a vessel, a flight, a train, or a buyer’s label instructions. The work is receiving, a carton check, labeling, and building the export shipment. It is short-term handling tied to a booking, not a long-term storage contract and not a fulfillment brand.
Tell the warehouse what to count and what “ready” means. If inner packs and master cartons use different quantities, write both down. Cargo that fails the check does not move to the port until you accept the exception or the supplier fixes it. Holding cargo has a cost, and the quote should say how the days are charged.
- Receiving from more than one supplier
- Carton checks, labels, and export packing
- A hold while the sailing or flight is confirmed

A truck collects at the supplier and delivers to the consignee, with the main carriage in between.
Door-to-door means the file includes the truck in China, the main carriage, and the delivery after arrival, where that delivery can actually be arranged. The main leg can be ocean, air, or rail. The incoterm still matters: EXW and DDP describe very different responsibilities, and the quote should say which one it assumes.
Not every address is a door the carriers will serve. Remote sites, appointment-only warehouses, and buildings with no unloading equipment need to be named. Access limits, liftgates, and residential delivery change the truck. If those facts arrive after the cargo has sailed, the destination plan is late.
- Truck to the port, airport, or rail terminal in China
- Main carriage by the mode that fits the deadline
- Delivery after arrival only where the lane allows it

The export follows your plan from China to an Amazon fulfillment center.
FBA shipping is ocean, air, or courier carriage into an Amazon marketplace, with carton marks and labels that match the shipment plan you created. China Shipping does not open the seller account, does not choose the fulfillment center, and does not promise an appointment. You provide the shipment ID, the warehouse, and the delivery window.
Label errors are the usual reason an FBA load is refused. The quote conversation therefore includes who prints the labels, who applies them, and whether a warehouse in China will check them before export. Marketplace rules change. The file follows the written plan you send, and it stops when that plan and the cartons do not match.
- Carton marks and labels that match your FBA plan
- Ocean, air, or courier into Amazon marketplaces
- You supply the shipment ID and the delivery window
