29 October 2026
China shipping delays in this note are dated 29 October 2026
China shipping delays, on this page, are only the events those public sources describe. The note was written on 29 October 2026. It is not a live map, and it does not add a transit time, a price, or a rank.

What the search is asking
A search for China shipping delays often adds today, 2025, 2026, Shenzhen, a border crossing, FedEx, or UPS. This note uses the October 2026 documents below. It does not carry a 2025 figure forward, and it does not refresh itself after the day it was written.
Typhoon No. 30 from 19 to 26 October 2026
Fujian MSA warning FJ190/26, published at 12:21 on 19 October 2026, names typhoon No. 30 CHAMPI at 14-3.0N 139-0.0E at 0300 UTC. It says the storm will affect the Fujian coast and that vessels should change plan and keep clear.
The Ministry of Emergency Management notice at 08:58 on 22 October names No. 30 蔷琵, super-typhoon strength. At 05:00 the center was about 750 kilometers southeast of Taipei, force 16 (55 meters per second), and a blue warning was out at 06:00. The forecast is the southern East China Sea on the night of the 23rd, a turn north, then northeast off eastern Zhejiang on the night of the 24th, a possible brush of northeastern Taiwan, and heavy to torrential rain in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Fujian from the 23rd through the 26th. From 08:00 that day a national level-IV response covered the three, and a working group went to Zhejiang.
潮新闻 at 09:05 on 21 October reports a Ningbo MSA level-III response from 08:00. At 05:00 the storm was near 17.7°N 131°E, 1,655 kilometers from Ningbo, force 17, 910 hectopascals, moving west-northwest at 20 to 25 kilometers an hour. By 08:00, 31 water works had stopped and 22 passenger routes were stopping. The article reports that MSA decision.
A Shanghai Meteorological Bureau note dated 26 October says the response rose from level IV to level III at 08:45 on 23 October. Rain was expected from the afternoon of the 23rd through the daytime of the 25th, strongest from the evening of the 23rd into the 24th.
China shipping delays from this storm are those restrictions and that forecast, not a duration measured here. Kuehne+Nagel's 21-27 October note says that as of 26 October the Ningbo and Shanghai responses had ended, and that terminals, yards, warehouses, East China trucking, and barge terminals were operating, including Yangshan and Waigaoqiao. It names Super Typhoon Champi and still lists waits.
Waiting times in the 21-27 October note
The table is Kuehne+Nagel's for 21-27 October 2026. Its 7-day average is the anchorage wait of mainline container ships, excluding feeders, idle ships with no next port, slow steamers not actually waiting, and ships only passing. The note says “around.” These are not rewritten as a port-authority statistic.
Shekou is one harbor in Shenzhen. This note gives Yantian no wait. The ports guide places both. The table repeats only what that note prints.
What a shipper can and cannot conclude
China shipping delays in the paragraphs above are a dated snapshot, not a prediction that a box will miss a ship by a stated number of days. This site publishes no transit time, rank, or rate. A quote names the sailing, flight, or train available when it was written.
Courier names and border crossings
FedEx and UPS appear in the suggestions. This note reprints no courier alert. A delay that a courier has published stays on that courier's site. Those two addresses did not open when this note was checked, so they are not linked.
No source above gives a land-border or China-Europe rail wait. Chongqing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Yiwu are not assigned one.
Seven-day average waits in the 21-27 October 2026 note
| Port in that note | Figure as printed | What the same line adds |
|---|---|---|
| Shanghai | Around 1.65 days | Backlogs expected into November. Bunching, blank sailings, and South Africa limits still affecting schedules. |
| Qingdao | Around 1.42 days | Exercises from 15 October to 30 November may restrict vessels and terminals. |
| Shekou | Around 1.34 days | Yard density exceeds 90 percent, with export demand and unreliable schedules. |

Questions about this note
Are China shipping delays on this page updated every day?
No. It was written on 29 October 2026 and does not refresh. The newest week it cites is 21-27 October, which both ended the Ningbo and Shanghai responses as of 26 October and still printed the waits.
Do 2025 figures still apply here?
No. This note uses October 2026 documents only. A search that adds 2025 is a different period.
Who issued the typhoon notices?
Fujian MSA on 19 October, the Ningbo report on 21 October, the Ministry of Emergency Management on 22 October, and the Shanghai bureau for the raise on 23 October.
Does the waiting-time note name Shenzhen?
It names Shekou, around 1.34 days, yard density above 90 percent. It gives Yantian no separate wait. The ports guide places Shekou.
Is there a figure for a border crossing?
Not in these sources. No land-border wait and no rail-terminal wait is copied here.
Will a quote state how many days a delay lasts?
No. A quote names what was available when it was written. It is not a transit time, and the form does not book the cargo.
Name the places and the cargo
Say where a truck can collect and where the cargo must be delivered. A quote does not measure China shipping delays, and sending the form does not book the shipment.
