A China shipping tracking number is issued by the carrier
A China shipping tracking number is the container number, the ocean bill of lading number, or the air waybill printed for one shipment, and it can also be a courier waybill. You read it on the document, then open the carrier or the courier that issued it. This website has no tracking box and does not keep other people's numbers.

What the search is asking
Someone who types a China shipping tracking number is usually holding a label, a bill, or a marketplace screen. Suggestions beside it often name China Post, a format, an example, USPS, Amazon, or Canada. A postal item, a courier parcel, and an ocean box are different lookups.
The addresses below opened on 29 October 2026. This page does not trace a live shipment. If the paper and a shop account disagree, the carrier searches the document it issued.
The container number
The Bureau International des Containers describes the mark: a three-letter owner prefix, then U for a freight container, J for detachable container equipment, or Z for a trailer or chassis, then six numerals and one check digit. Characters are at least 100 millimetres high. The prefix is the BIC code of the owner or principal operator.
The mark identifies the equipment, not a sailing or a rate. A quote here names a carrier only when one has space. Characters already on the door belong to the carrier or the lessor. This website does not search them.
The ocean bill of lading
The bill of lading number is the ocean carrier's own reference. Formats differ by line. This page does not invent a sample bill number, because a made-up string can collide with a real shipment. The ocean bill is one form of China shipping tracking number. The container number is another. Both are searched on the carrier's page.
On 29 October 2026 these addresses opened as the carriers' own pages: COSCO SHIPPING Lines e-business cargo tracking, Maersk's China tracking page, Evergreen ShipmentLink (it also refers to an export bill of lading), and Ocean Network Express, whose navigation includes Track. Addresses that did not open are omitted. This is not a fleet list or a ranking.
The air waybill and the courier waybill
An air waybill is the airline's reference. China Cargo Airlines' home page, opened the same day, offers 运单查询 beside flight status, and describes time-limited airport-to-airport express, special cargo under IATA rules, and general cargo. That wording is the airline's, not a timetable from this site.
A courier waybill is separate. SF Express's Chinese page is titled 查快递. SF International's is titled 查运单. Open the company on the label. Another courier named in a search is a prompt to use that courier's site. This page does not run the query.
What this page will not do
No example number is printed, and no China Post format is copied, because that page was not a source. A postal number, a later handoff, or a marketplace status is not an ocean bill. Amazon, USPS, and Canada Post are not opened here.
You still describe the goods, their value, and the packing, and you confirm the HS code before an entry is filed. Batteries, liquids, and magnetic material can limit the carrier. The other guides cover the ports, the box, and the forwarder. The contact page has the Shenzhen address. It is not a tracking screen.

Questions about the number
Can I look up a China shipping tracking number here?
No. Open the carrier or courier on the document. Checked addresses are under Sources. A number sent here is not traced.
What does a container number consist of?
BIC lists a three-letter prefix, category U, J, or Z, six numerals, and a check digit, at least 100 millimetres high. No example is printed here.
Is a China Post number the same as a bill of lading?
No. Suggestions often ask for a China Post format, an example, or a handoff toward USPS, Amazon, or Canada. No postal format was copied. A postal number is not the ocean bill.
What if the marketplace status and the paper disagree?
Use the document the carrier or courier issued. A shop screen can show a different reference. This site does not sign in to those accounts.
Will you publish an example tracking number?
No. An invented string can match a real shipment. The BIC sentence describes the shape, not a sample to paste.
Does the quote form trace a shipment?
No. A quote names a carrier only when one has space, and it is not a booking until both sides confirm. The form is not a tracking tool.
Send the cargo, not a number to trace
Origin, destination, and what the cargo is are enough to ask for a quote. The form does not look up a China shipping tracking number, and sending it does not book the shipment.
