Carriers
China shipping lines are ocean carriers, not a tracking page
China shipping lines, in freight, are the ocean carriers that operate or charter the ship and issue the ocean bill of lading. A forwarder books space with one of them. This page separates that job from a tracking screen, a fleet ranking, and a naval map.

What a search for China shipping lines is asking
China shipping lines tracking, as a search, is a request for a carrier’s bill of lading. Other searches want a list of container lines or a company list. A few results say sea lines of communication. That phrase is not a product on a quote form.
The Australian Sea Power Centre glossary describes sea lines of communication as the routes ships and submarines use to move goods and resources across the ocean. The citation is under the sources. It is not a sailing or a rate.
This site does not look up a bill of lading for a line it does not operate. The contact page publishes the inboxes and the Shenzhen address.
The container line that used a similar name
China Shipping Container Lines was a container carrier. It is not this website. COSCO SHIPPING Lines says it was formed from the container businesses of COSCO Container Lines and China Shipping Container Lines, and that it commenced operation on 1 March 2016. Its profile gives a registered address in Hongkou District, Shanghai. That address belongs to the carrier’s own page, not to this forwarder.
The group’s history page says that on 4 January 2016 the State Council approved merging COSCO and China Shipping into China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, and that the corporation was formally established in Shanghai on 18 February 2016. Those two dates identify the reorganization. They are not a statement that this website is part of that group.
Those public pages also discuss capital, appointments, and capacity. Those figures are left out, so this page does not become a league table.
How a forwarder uses a carrier
Ocean freight suits cargo that can accept a voyage measured in weeks. The box is a 20-foot, 40-foot, or 40-foot high-cube container sealed for one shipper, or a share when the cargo does not fill it. Sharing adds handling at origin and again before delivery. The carrier has the ship. The forwarder asks for space. A name on the container door, if any, belongs to the carrier or a leasing company.
Gateways already named are Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen, and Dalian. Yiwu is a frequent consolidation point. Naming a harbor is not an office. Rail loads at Chongqing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, or Yiwu, and hands over at Duisburg, Hamburg, or Małaszewicze. That is not an ocean sailing.
A quote names the sailing that was available when it was written, and the carrier that had space. China shipping lines on that quote are still only a proposal until both sides confirm it. Sending the form does not reserve the ship. There is no rate sheet on this page.
What this page will not rank
Searches also ask for firms in Nigeria, India, or Ghana. Those names are destinations a shipper might type, not offices this site lists. If no carrier has space, there is no carrier to name.
Market share, fleet counts, and a league table of China shipping lines are left out, and so are prices and published transit times. Weeks for ocean freight, days for air, and rail between them, describe modes. They are not your schedule.
You still state what the goods are, what they are worth, and how they are packed, and you confirm the HS code before anyone files an entry. Batteries, liquids, magnetic material, and powder can remove sailings. The quote states the incoterm it assumes.
The container, ports, routes, companies, and agent pages cover the box, the harbors, the mode, the firms, and the file.
Sources for the names and the dates
Only the identity of the carrier, the two dates, and the glossary wording are taken from these pages. Capital, fleet size, and any ranking those pages also contain are not repeated here.

Questions about carriers
Can I track a shipment under China shipping lines here?
No. This site does not operate that carrier and does not look up its bill of lading. A quote names a carrier only when one has space for the cargo you described.
Is this website China Shipping Container Lines?
No. COSCO SHIPPING Lines says it was formed from that container business and from COSCO Container Lines, and that it commenced operation on 1 March 2016. This website arranges export freight. The dates above come from the sources on this page.
What are sea lines of communication?
The Australian Sea Power Centre glossary calls them the routes ships and submarines use to move goods and resources across the ocean. That is not a sailing you book on a quote form.
Does a quote choose the carrier?
It names the carrier that had space when the quote was written. You still describe the goods and confirm the HS code before anyone files an entry. Both sides confirm before it becomes a booking.
Is a shipping line the same as a forwarder?
No. The line is the ocean carrier. The forwarder coordinates the mode, the space, the truck on the China side, and the export documents, and coordinates with the import broker at destination. You still own the facts about the goods.
Do you publish prices or transit times by carrier?
No. Cost depends on the places, the weight and volume, the commodity, the incoterm, and the carrier that has space. A description of ocean freight as a voyage measured in weeks is not a schedule for your shipment.
Name the cargo
Say where a truck can collect and where the cargo must arrive. If a carrier has space, the reply names that carrier. The reply does not book the ship by itself.
